roasted dog?

How funny is this picture?  I think it's pretty hilarious.  I'm not sure why Lucy runs around with a ball in her mouth.  It pretty much takes up her entire mouth and she can't even chew it like she wants to.  When I see her like this, I really want to put her down on a silver platter with some greens...like a roasted pig.  Except, I would never consider actually roasting her.  I just think it would make for a funny picture.  Oh silly fur ball.

Fiesta!

Jennifer and I pretending we are 16 in the typical myspace pose.  LOL.

I had a fun, little fiesta one night for the managers of the store.  What can I say?  I love to entertain.  I had the Mexican food, the Mexican music, the Mexican decorations, etc.  I haven't made Mexican food (or really eaten it) in a while, so I was super excited to do this.  I pretty much spent all day cooking.  We had carne asada tacos, fish tacos, beans, margaritas, and even churros and flan for dessert!  Oh, and everyone either wore sombreros, flowers, or mustaches.  As the hostess, I of course, wore all three.  By the way, mustaches get HOT and it's hard to eat and drink with!  I'm not sure how men do it.

get cookin'

I am really trying to make more of an effort to cook a bit more.  When I cook, it is so much more healthier than being lazy and picking something up.  Plus, it's more cost effective.  And when I plan out meals, I pretty much plan it for the entire week.  It is so much easier since my schedule is all over the place.  I can just grab a container for my lunch/dinner and go.  I decided to start off with a roasted vegetable orzo.  It was delish!  I love roasted veggies.  Looking at the picture above makes me hungry.

pizza

My very first pizza!  Erin was coming over one night to hang out, and I told her how I was going to order pizza for dinner.  She suggested we make our own instead!  I always wanted to make my own pizza.  She brought over some wheat dough from F&E.  I already had tomato sauce in the pantry and a bell pepper.  Someone brought mushrooms and cheese, just forgot who.  I loved doing this.  Though I definitely need to make sure my pizza dough is thin when I roll it, because it was way too thick, but nonetheless delicious.  I see a pizza making dinner party in my future...

double headed tulip

I bought a bunch of tulips from Fresh and Easy the other day.  While I was getting them ready for a container, I noticed two tulips coming out from one stem.  I am going to take that as a good sign for the future.  Because I really need it.
